HYDRATION

It is a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. Beauty has been defined in so many ways. With that being said let’s move on to our topic for today. Hydration. Our bodies need hydration every single day and this includes skin, hair and nails. Here are different solutions you can use to achieve the necessary hydration for different parts of the body.

THE MAIN INGREDIENT WE NEED DAILY: WATER  

consuming at least 6 glasses a day is ideal and doable.

HAIR:

Beauty Blog: Hydration by Iasia Smith 1st On wash day, you must wash your hair with a moisturizing shampoo. Do this step 2 to 3 times for a thorough cleansing. Gently pat hair with towel to soak up excess water.

2nd Mix a generous amount of Coconut oil to your conditioner. Then you apply to damp hair all over and comb through with a wide comb.

3rd Apply a plastic cap and sit under a dryer for at least 20 minutes. This helps to allow oils and moisturizers to penetrate.

4th Rinse well and apply moisturizing conditioner comb through and rinse. This will lock in the moisture. Proceed to style.

SKIN:

To reduce chapping, redness, itching, and keep skin more healthy and comfortable this season, try these tips.

¨Wash in lukewarm water. Try using an exfoliating body wash or bath bar. You can also alternate with your favorite moisturizing body wash.

¨Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! I can’t say this enough. If you keep a body oil in the shower you can apply it right away and then towel dry. This allows the oil to lock into skin cells leaving a smooth to the touch feel, silkiness and shine.

¨Use good ole fashion Vaseline on your feet and apply socks. Best results are when done immediately following the shower.

Daily food intake should have some of these ingredients. Hydration starts from within. Watermelon, celery, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers and plenty more. Look at your dish…it should be colorful. It should put a smile on your face because your body will thank you.

NAILS:

Certain oils are great for strengthening your nails – particularly olive oil, vitamin E oil and tea tree oil! 

Beauty Blog: Hydration by Iasia Smith Olive oil is extremely moisturizing and easily absorbed into the skin and nails. Soak your nails in a dish of olive oil for about 20 minutes once a week, or every day for a few minutes, to feel its full affect. Depends how much time you have, but once a week is great.Please note that what you put in your body will show on the outside of it. It’s easier to be bad but it takes discipline to be good and the rewards for it are endless. Why wait…start today
